Angela is a single mother raising three boys. She has an Associate’s degree, works full-time in healthcare, and looks forward to graduating in the spring with her Bachelor’s degree. Homeownership was not something her family had experienced when she was growing up and its stability was something she desperately wanted for her children. Unfortunately, although she has a good credit score and a strong employment history, her school debt has kept her from qualifying for a mortgage she can afford.
“Sometimes people think that if you work, you should be fine. You should be able to do it, but it’s not like that all the time. Sometimes, you know, you just need people coming together to give you some help.”
