Damian, Joanne, and their two small boys were sharing a two-bedroom apartment above a meat shop in NE Philadelphia. The boys slept in their parent’s bedroom to avoid the heavy cigarette smoke coming in from the neighbors.
Not only were they eager to have a healthier, larger home for their family, but they looked forward to having outdoor space for their boys to run and play safely. Plus, Damian’s work will be much closer to home now, affording him more family time.
This home was built in partnership with Thrivent Financial and many local houses of faith. What began as a wall-build on a church parking lot, is now a beautiful, safe, healthy home in which they will make many new memories.
