Women Build

Women Build is many things. It’s women learning construction and home repair skills. It’s women building friendships. It’s women helping women become stronger and more successful. Together we are addressing the need for decent and affordable housing, an issue which disproportionately affects women and children. All planning, fundraising and publicity for this program is done by women, empowering them to build by teaching them construction skills in a supportive environment.

COME OUT AND HELP US BUILD!

WOMEN Volunteers needed for Thursday May 9th, Friday May 10th and Saturday May 11th—Come out for a day onsite at our construction projects in Sellersville or Bristol locations—No tools required—No skills needed!! Contact the Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@habitatbucks.org to sign up for a volunteer day and to learn more about volunteering!

These specific days have been set aside for Women Build volunteers—come out and  learn a new skill and meet other Women Build volunteers! Space is limited and you must pre-register before the volunteer day!  More dates will be announced soon!

Get Involved

Opportunities to get involved in the Women Build program at Habitat Bucks are listed below – there’s something for everyone!

  • Serve on the steering committee (meets the 2nd Monday of every month, 6:30pm at the Habitat Bucks office).
  • Attend construction training clinics hosted by Lowe’s
  • Sign up for one of our Reduce, Recyle, ReStore clinics
  • Assist with events and workshops
  • Provide a lunch or breakfast during Build Events
  • Plan and host your own fundraiser to benefit Women Build!
