"Over the years, our involvement with Habitat for Humanity has helped establish our congregation as one that takes the community’s needs seriously and seeks to meet them in concrete and practical ways." --A Bucks County Reverend

Faith in Action...

Thanks for all the ways you support us!
We appreciate all the ways that our Faith groups have shown their support, through your donations, Alternative Gift Programs, providing lunches to volunteers to hosting events. We welcome the chance to build on our efforts to make a difference in 2008. Please contact Beth Adams at b.adams@habitatbucks.org or 215.822.2812 x305 to find out how to get involved in our Faith efforts in 2008.

Faith Involvement Opportunities...

Join the Faith Relations Committee: The Faith Relations Committee partners with faith groups in Bucks County to promote Habitat’s mission. They focus on advocacy, diversity, fellowship and fundraising and organize the annual Building on Faith Week. Members also assist with dedication ceremonies, speak to congregations, and promote Habitat’s mission at special events.

Members of the Faith Relations Committee take on personal responsibility for developing and maintaining a relationship with targeted churches in Bucks County. As part of that relationship, the member becomes the primary contact for 3-5 assigned churches. As that contact, the committee member may be called upon to provide informational audiovisual presentations about Habitat for Humanity to congregations, committees and adult groups within the church. The Committee meets on the first Thursday every month at 6pm at the Habitat office. (Note: We will not be meeting in December and will resume our schedule in January 2008.)

“One of the signs of a healthy congregation is that members can look beyond themselves and look toward others. I think Habitat provides an excellent way to do that.”
